Railway Corridor Kamniška Bistrica–Krka–Kolpa proposal has four railway lines, presented more in detail below: line from Ljubljana to Kamnik, from Ljubljana to Metlika and state border with Croatia, leg/line from Grosuplje to Kočevje and leg/line from Trebnje to Sevnica.

Core TEN-T railway corridors include the most important connections, linking the most important nodes, and are to be completed by 2030.

European Union (EU) provides funding for railway infrastructure and railway terminals also through EU Cohesion Policy. The co-financing rate of EU grants is up to 85 percent. Funding is channelled through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Cohesion Fund (CF).

Corridor Kamniška Bistrica–Krka–Kolpa has five current routes crossing the corridor in Slovenia. No cross-border connection. Route Ljubljana–Kamnik has 22 connection in one and 29 connection in the other direction. Route from Ljubljana to Novo mesto has fifteen in one and fourteen in the other. This line extension from Novo mesto to Metlika has ten connections in both directions. Leg of this corridor Sevnica–Trebnje has seven connections. And line from Ljubljana to Kočevje has five connections in one directions and six in the other with additional five and four connections. with transfer in Grosuplje.
