No. Currently, we are not planning to sign a consortium agreement between the members, but we do not rule it out in the future. Mainly in the sense of the application of infrastructure upgrading projects directly to the European Commission. The assessment of all key stakeholders is that in Slovenia and the border regions, we have a poorly developed sustainable transport infrastructure, both railway, bus and cycling, where the railway infrastructure should be the carrier and accelerator of sustainable mobility, which we currently do not even happen to witness. Without a professional civil initiative, as we have established in the Mobilitatis Omni association, it is difficult to expect the urgently needed radical improvement of the connected – railway, bus and bicycle – infrastructure and the appropriate and frequency connections of all types of public passenger transport. Not to mention the freight transport.
In Slovenia, the relevant ministries and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, along with the Directorate of the Republic of Slovenia responsible for infrastructure and transport, and Slovenian Railways, as well as all other transport, especially bus operators. At the same time, comparable stakeholders at the regional and national levels in neighbouring countries. At the EU level, these are primarily, but not exclusively, the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport and the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy, including all instruments of EU cohesion policy.
Both legal and natural persons join the grouping. We also accept donations.
The council of the grouping, under the legal guidelines in Slovenia, will be established when the grouping has two permanent employees.
Managing the association is easy and cost-effective. The director of the grouping and his colleagues are currently doing their work pro-bono.
