The assessment of all key stakeholders is that Slovenia has a poorly developed sustainable transport infrastructure, where the railway infrastructure should be the carrier and promoter of sustainable mobility. Without a professional civic initiative, as set up by the Mobilitatis Omni institute, it is difficult to expect the much-needed radical improvement of railway infrastructure.
The Ministry of Infrastructure, the Directorate of the Republic of Slovenia for Infrastructure and the Slovenian Railways and comparable stakeholders at the regional and national level in neighbouring countries. At EU level, these are mainly, but not exclusively, the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport and the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy.
